Chicago Wedding Room 1520 - The Adamkovi Photography

Dana & James

room 1520 chicago wedding

LOCATION

Room 1520, West Loop Chicago

Chicago’s West Loop has many great venues for a wedding and one of them is Room 1520. Clean walls, tons of windows, chandeliers galore–and all in an industrial setting. Maybe that’ll give you a good idea of what you are about to see as you scroll below 🙂

Setting the scene: Dana & James chose to use the window wall to be the front for their altar, which together with beautiful florals behind them and a chandelier above created a stunningly elegant picture-perfect scene. And of course the natural light made for amazing photos! A ceremony officiated by a friend is always a great idea as well, because you do want to laugh on your wedding day and the best jokes usually come from someone who knows you well.

After the ceremony everyone hopped out for drinks and amazing tacos by the Three Legged Tacos and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. What more can you ask for? TACOS + SUNSET!! Haha. Soon we all went back to the room which was rebuilt into something absolutely incredible (you have to see for yourself)! Live band and dancing violin players topped the show!  We are so happy we were able to capture all these photos for Rebecca Peplinski who is another amazing Chicago photographer.

One last note: from all the weddings we’ve shot we’ve learned that… from all the speeches, you tend to learn a lots of interesting and also very unexpected things. For example, Dana has an aviation license so she can fly planes. Also, as a kid her head was struck by an arrow (which was a long and pretty bloody story). Gotta love it (#weddinglife).

Anyways, Room 1520 FTW (who says that anymore? No one. Except us. I guess). Can’t wait to shoot another wedding in the gorgeous Room 1520 (shoot us a message if you will :))!
